positive and negative keywords?
Can anybody explain to me what positive and negative keywords are when you compare two text corpora? I understand the meaning when you look at a single corpus, but I don't get how it works when comparing two corpora. I'm currently reading a book that uses a lot of corpus linguistics and without understanding how the keyword thing functions, I can't understand half of the text.

Word whose frequencies are statistically lower in the study corpus compared to the reference corpus are called negative keywords. Positive keywords are more frequent in the study corpus than they are in the reference corpus.
