Why do Christian Creationists target secondary public education?

It's all part of the Discovery Institute's Wedge Strategy. Fortunately, we at the National Center for Science Education stop them in their tracks.

Because secondary public education is where the courses they don't like are taught.

They seem to like the "get them when they're young" policy

If the kids are taught about evolution they just might see how dumb creationism is.

A dumb population means more potential converts to their belief system.

They are unable or unwilling to see the difference between opinion/belief and scientific verification.

any older and the students would laugh them out of the classroom.

They seek to dumb down our kids.
