choice between trucks, dodge vs chevy
ok right now i have a 95 dodge ram 2500 with the cummins turbo diesel and i have the option of trading it for a 97 chevy 2500 with the vortec 350.
both are similarly equipped 4x4, club cabs, the dodge has 350,000 km, the chevy 200,000 km.
is this a good trade (i would also have to pay 3500 bucks on top of the trade). i've had no problems with my dodge, any advice?
the dodge has some rust the chevy does not, the chevy also has an after market dual exhaust installed and was owned by a mechanic who took good care of his vehicles, the fact that there are cigarette lighter burns on the dodge's seat might tell you about its previous owner, i drive it very carefully though, i don't do any towing and a minimum of off roading.

If you are like me and need to lock it in 4x4 a lot the chevy will take for ever turning it in 4x4, but how ever is a tough and dependable truck. The dodge is the best truck I have seen to maneuver in tough situtuations, but however is getting old with not a lot to just to dump the truck, but plenty enough of miles on it to maybe start preparing for problems. No one can tell you when a truck will break down because that chevy or dodge could last you a month or ten years it all depends how it's been treated and kept up. $3,500 seems like a good deal though because you going to a 95 to a 97 with 150,000 miles difference. If I was you I would look at both trucks carefully, but with the information you gave it sounds like a good deal.

it depends on what you are going to use the truck for. towing i would use the diesel. any heavy work the diesel will do you well. but i prefer the gm.
