Why has Rex suddenly turned into a naughty boy??

Rex was always quite sly /// he just didn't get much opportunity to show it as Stephanie was evicted quite early I'm sure he would have been up for it had she been around much longer

Yes he likes Sara but what is wrong with that? He hasn't done anything at all to be unfaithful. Lots of people flirt but it doesn't mean anything and Rex's self esteem is low so he enjoys the attention.
