Sorry, I think an answer here is appropriate. Why would, or why should a believer in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, as well as a Follower of the Messiah, even speculate, as you say, on the ultimate judgment of another?
Is there any intimate detail about Sen. Helms you don't know? Or; has everything you perceive to know about him been filtered through the lens of the mainstream media?

I'm not Christian, but I think that Jesse Helms is in his own private hell for causing as many problems as he did in the name of the Lord.
Witch hunts and his own personal Crusade reserved his spot in Hell.
