Oh by the way, if you're talking about the all loving, all forgiving God of the Bible, not only does He allow rapes to happen, but the Bible makes it clear that he has also encouraged men to rape women for the sake of revenge.

Here are a couple of examples:

Isaiah 13:16

Their children will be smashed [to death] before their eyes; their houses will be looted, and their wives raped.

Zechariah 14:2

For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

I'd think that that person was being incredibly wise.

The greatest test of power is the ability to not use it.

So, the person involved is probably more aware of the ramifications of applying said power, than any passerby.
