Excellent - faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God!
While it is possible for the Holy Spirit to give verses/Words to a soul without them ever having heard them before, it is more 'normal' for the Holy Spirit to bring back to one's remembrance what they have heard/read.

This quote could go either way; positive or negative. It depends on ones purpose for getting into God's Word.
Now if one were to SUBMIT to God's Word, that's a whole new story! The will of God is bound to be carried out in that person.

I don't admire the style of expression, but I believe that it expresses a truth, however poorly it does so. There are many benefits to knowing what the Word of God says and it can be a powerful influence in someone's life. Many times I've been reading the Bible and found in it comfort, wisdom, hope, encouragement, warning of danger, understanding of human nature and God's nature and intents. It is a magnificent book and vastly undervalued. It has helped me guide my life into good directions and prevented a lot of suffering through bad choices I would have made without it's guidance. Plus, its really poetic and amazingly cool.
Don't let hokey old sayings prevent you from experiencing a literary masterpiece!

Been there doing that 45 years and that is a short time with the word of God.
I have enjoyed every minute of it, as blessed Rev.1:1-3; 3:14; John 8:28-32; with the real time and prophecy as Jesus said it will be.

A beautiful quote!!! The word of God will always be within me and I will continue to pray for all the nonbelievers as they truly know not what they do and/or say.

Dear Friend,
Luke 4:4 says, "And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by BREAD ALONE, but by every word of God." Therefore when we get into the Word of God, we are taking in the nourishment He feeds us with and ...we are what we eat. Amen.
