The Heat definetly got the better of the deal.

First if they can re-sign Shawn Marion they will definetly have gotten the most out of the deal.

But, even if Marion does not re-sign the Heat have freed up a lot of cap space by getting rid of Shaq's salary and that opens up the posibility of signing another big name free agent.

With a healthy Dwayne Wade, a lottery pick, and Marion or a new free agent, or both, the Heat may be back into competing as one of the best in the East.

The Suns are going the opposite direction- Nash and Shaq are getting older, D'Antoni looks like he's out and the Suns will need to implement a new system- and the West looks like it's getting tougher and tougher... the Heat definitely got the best of this deal.

The Heat don't have to re-sign Marion. I think he's a free agent. By getting rid of Shaq and possibly dumping Marion's contract, they will have a TON of room under the cap. Also, if they re-sign Marion, a young nucleus of Marion, Wade and Derrick Rose looks pretty solid.

That being said, the Suns had to roll the dice. They weren't getting past the first round without him, either, so no harm no foul (except that they're on the hook for Shaq's $20M/year for the next two years).

The HEAT, in a way better margin. Marion's young, and still good, while Shaq is old and does nothing but to complain. Last night, the Suns were on a 11-2 run whith Shaq on the bench. He's just an overpaid liability now.

suns only made the move because the lakers got Gasol. no way was the suns deal made without the Lakers acquisition of Gasol.

but the Heat got the better end of the deal. just think Wade, Marion and a top 3 pick in the NBA draft in June.

Miami warmth because of the fact they have been given rid of Shaq's settlement, they get Shawn Marion and mixing him with D-Wade would be something to computer screen interior the east. Plus they're going to get a appropriate 5 draft %. this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days to strengthen the team. the warmth usual has the main suitable destiny to win than the Suns

Marion is younger and in way better shape. If Miami can resign him and get some talent, with him and Wade, they'll have the start of something good for awhile. I like Shaq, but he's old, slow, and done. The Heat definitely got the better of this deal.

The heat because the got rid of the final two years of shaq's 20 million dollar contract which means now they can build a new team around d-wade thru the draft and free agency and with riley no longer coach a new era can begin in Miami
