What are TC's(Top Contributors)to you?

A 'T.C.' badge is no guarantee of quality. You need a certain (but unspecified) number of answers but you only have to have a 'B.A.%' of about 10. Personally, I hover on people's avatars and look at their 'B.A.%'. I'm more inclined to value an answer from someone with no badge but with a 'B.A.% of 55 (I've seen them, too) than an answer from a T.C. with a B.A.% of 10.

I answer questions in a lot of categories. I just have the most best answers in Formula 1. I don't answer serious Q's unless I am sure of the answer or can provide a useful link. I think the majority of people on here are the same, TC or not

Someone just really care on getting points to be a TC..but others are reliable and consistent with their answers and actually here to help out others..if you noticed on some of the TC--check their answers, some are useless and nonsense, but they get 2 points in every answers they share wether their pointless or not..

Not a lot. Some people are genuinely knowledgeable, but the badge mostly just says that they spend a LOT of time on here.

I've read some utter rubbish written by top contributors, so I'm not sure how they became such. Can you choose to remove the badge if you're ever given it? I think I would.

It's fucked up how that works. I once got a TC on the fish section and i had only answered a handfull of questions.. I guess it's the ratio of best answers to the number of answers a person gives..

TCs are strong in whatever category they have the badge in, but they can be good in other categories.

The answer is important, not necessarily who it comes from (A TC or not a TC)

I say, can be both. Somebody can be tc because heshe have been chosen best answer alot of times, so it might mean because heshe is best in that category.

But tc people isnt always right...

I might want to be one of the top contributors one day, but...

no-one asks for a t/c badge and I'm not even sure why one gets it ,i try and answer each question as honestly as i can without going to web pages to look up the answers,my research is done in my head and i normally stay within the boundaries of my knowledge which happens to be the military section,due to wounds received i pretty much stay in so this a way for me to help others,works for me

There people who know alot in the subject and yes they can be in any if they are good

some are cheaters by not knowing it and looking info up and then post to this as knowing the answer which is wrong and in doing this they receive alot of best answers which this is up to the asker any how. and yes to all your questions

since you asked to me not to what they "Actully" are...

I say it is a person wh0 has answered many questions in one category, and leaded their percentage to over 10%.

I belive that many should be suspended already for using "multiple accounts" to give theirselves best answers, because that is cheating.
