Which would you prefer and why?

As far as leading the United States of America (from year 2008 and on), which would you prefer and why?

A Democrat as President, with a Republican controlled Congress...

A Republican as President, with a Democrat controlled Congress...

Or have one party control both?

Please no speculation about the 'electability' or feasibility of said occurrence.

i always think it is good to have a different majority rule the congress and one that rules the house.

what ever congress differs from the president would result in the president not getting what he wants. (ie bush after 2006 election, he hasn't got anything passed that he wanted to ).

it is good to have a congress and the president from the same part bc then they can get things done. but it is bad from the other party bc they can't get anything done

i think a republican as presient and a democratic controlled congress would be the best.

a country completley rulled by republican would be a horrible thing. :)

If those were my only choices, then Dem or Repub as President with the other party controlling congress. The reason is simple. It's called gridlock. The more gridlock there is in Washington, the more freedoms the American people retain. No agreement means no new legislation. No new legislation means no new unconstitutional laws.
