can any body give me the equation for calculating the inertia of a speeding projectile?
would you be so kind as to break it down for a dummy (me) please assume 1pound=projectile 10feet per sec.

I'm not sure if you calculate inertia. I know momentum is measured in Newton seconds. Any possibilities to find mass x distance / time. Try the metric system. It's easier. Anyway, it would probably be 10ft-lbs/sec.

just go outside with a gun, shoot it, and record the speed with a radar gun. bam. simple, safe, efficient. and ur neighbors will love it
