Girls, would you date a guy with a strict shoes-off rule?

Not really. Everyone has their quirks, and it's not "out-there" to want to keep everything nice and neat.

uhh depends. In my neighborhood if you leave your shoes outside they'll be gone in the morning.

Depends on the shoes - i think work shoes and sneakers and thongs/flip flops should be outside wear, but if you're dressed up to go out to dinner in heels and a dress then the shoes should stay on.

Likewise if its muddy and wet outside, or you're likely to track a lot of dirt in, then yeah its shoes off

Plus, sometimes you've gotta wear heels to go with lingerie outfits and i dont wanna have to take off the heels, drop the trench coat, bring in the heels then put them back on again. That just ruins the mood!

Have you thouught about putting in runner mats in the most travelled areas of the house?

What's wrong with that? I know many people who do that, to protect their floors. However, if things were serious enough for him to meet my parents and he insisted my mother take off her shoes in his house knowing there's a medical reason to keep them on (she wears braces on her legs to walk), that would be a reason to stop seeing him.

I wouldn't be appalled. I don't wear shoes in my house either. It's the clean thing to do!

Not at all, but you should tell her before you reach the front door. I think it shows that you care about keeping things clean, more men need to be like that.

I myself have a rule about that. I want my place nice and I want a man who's clean as well. It's fine with me.
