If they were frozen 5 days ago, it would take 2 days to defrost in the fridge, so they should be OK. As long as they were covered in an airtight container. The best way to tell is to smell them before cooking. If they smell bad, I'd chuck them out.

You store chicken forever, but it turns bad in 2 or 3 days, if that matters to you.

Marinated in teriyaki sauce which contains alcohol, should be tender and tasty for up to 3days in the non-freezer section. Just make sure it's well-cooked. Enjoy! :)
