what color goes well with brown...?

bright blue!!! ivory, dark red, it really depends on what style you are looking for. the blue would be more modern and fun, the ivory for a more elegant wedding, and the red for fall.

gold would go very well, Brown is such a basic dark color, that most colors go well with it. I'd stick with only 2 or if you really want to 3 colors though. 2 basic colors give a sense of organization, and a nice continuity and flow through the wedding.

It also depends what time of the year or wedding is.

Fall stick with rich reds (warm colors)

Winter greens (cold)

Spring pastels (all would look well with brown except maybe yellow)

Summer bright colors would look great.

You don't want neon green in the middle of a snowy winter.

There are TONS of colors that go with brown, a good way to narrow down your choices would be to go by the season when your wedding will be.

Spring - you could do a light pastel blue or light yellow.

Summer - I would use something bright like maybe coral.

Fall - any fall color would work - orange, yellow, a yellow-gold color would be really beautiful.

Winter - I would do an ice blue or light aqua color.

Green-almost a lime green but not quite goes really well with brown.

Aqua is also another color that goes well with brown.

for a wedding? not pink tho, i decided i didnt want that one. it can be more than one color too...

If you have the right shade of brown, then duck egg blue goes wonderfully or a soft pink. Then of course pink and blue go nicely together as well...link to lovely pink and blue wedding cake below.

How about burnt orange or gold. Both of those colors would come across as elegant. Here's an image with the orange.

I think that dark green, turquoise, ivory, or a peach would go nicely for a wedding. I probably wouldn't use ivory because it would take away from the bride, but the other colors would be nice.

But you could also have Teal and Brown, Cappucino and Brown, Cream and Brown, Dark Red and Brown....

I went to a beautiful fall wedding and the maid of honor wore brown and the bridesmaids wore orange and they carried sunflowers. The groomsmen wore brown tuxedos

Orange, yellow, green....think Fall/Autumn colors.
