After stinging , do scorpions loose their stinger ?

I was just wondering , because i found something that looks like the end of a scorpion tale on the porch. And if it does , will it die itself ?

no, thats how they kill in the wild they will sting there pray and eat it, so that means if he stings his pray he is only allowed to eat once then die, a bird could of droped it or it might not even be a stinger.

Scorpions do not lose thier stinger. The stinger is what they use to kill thier food and eat it. So they need this all thier life. If you found a scorpions tail on your porch, it was probably brough there by an animal that killed the scorpion, and was smart enough not to eat the stinger.

Scorpions don't lose their stinger. They can sting you repeatedly at one time as well. Depending on the breed of scorpion, without its tail/stinger it will die of starvation. Some hunt primarily with their claws and will do okay without the tail/stinger though.

No. Scorpions do not lose their stingers after they strike. Sometimes, if they are being attacked by a mouse, rat, etc. the rodent will chew the tail off of the scorpion so it can catch it and eat it.

No. A wasp can reuse its stinger. A bee has a barbed stinger that pulls out (and kills the bee in the process) when the bee stings. this is why wasps sting much more aggressively than bees. Bees only sting as a last resort.

Some animals that eat scorpions eat everthing but the stinger.

My puppy got stung in the face by one here in Panama. We got up that morning and found him with the stinger hanging from his face. Rushed him to the vet. Poor baby! Face was swollen, he was crying, wouldn't let us touch it. Vet visit.

I have to admit that I do not know the answer but after quite a lot of research I cannot find any reports of this happening. Maybe you should ask it in another catagory ?

no, they are not bees. the tail is probably from a half eaten scorpion, which is probably already dead. if not, it will starve because that is how they get prey
