Do you think it's wrong 2 get a tattoo that some 1 already has , and you get it again ?

Well, as a tattoo artist, when someone comes into the shop and they pick the piece from the portfolio and want that exactly I am usually pretty good at talking them into changing it to suit them a little better. Tattoos should be original, like the people they are put on. Its not wrong by any means, but there are too many great artists out there to just ask for a copy and paste. Good luck though! Get your own design. Tattoos are a symbol of individuality. I think the person with the original might feel pretty annoyed with you for stealing their uniqueness. It feels very wrong. What if you stop liking this person and you have the tattoo to remind you of them ...forever

Its a bit covetous like you want what they've got or you want to be them ...like the boundaries of personality are being transgressed

If you like something do it. If the person with the tattoo that you are copying is close to you, maybe you could adapt it a little so you are not clones! Having said that the world is your oyster when it comes to inspiration, so probably best to think about something else that you like just as much if not more.

While I agree the tattoo should be personally meaningful and it has to be something that you will be OK with for the rest of your life. Expecting to come up with something original is unreasonable, most people select from a copy book anyway, so IMHO using someones idea is OK, but maybe giving it a personal twist.

If it's something a person got custom made for them then yes, I don't think it's the right thing to do. The person got it made for them-and only them- and could get very offended if you copy their idea. If they have a design you like, then take it to a tattoo artist and tell them you want something like that, but different.

But if it's flash from the wall, it's fair game.

Now a days its extremely hard to get a tattoo that no one has, but you can always get your own spin on it. Like, stars for example. EVERYONE has stars, but they don't always look the same. I agree that tattoos should be unique and original, but it doesnt always work out that way.
