I am on the birth control jolessa (it works in 3 months) Not too happy with it. Pretty much endless spotting. Anways started my 3rd pack (beginning of month 7) and all was well. Had unprotected sex with my partner. Now I am spotting but it is somewhat different. It's pinkish and opaque. It's been 17 days since sex and I have had 3 negative home preg. tests (one 14 days after, one 16 days after and one this morning). What's going on? Is it this whacky birth control? 17 days is long enough to wait, right?

I was pretty okay the first 3 months.One week long case of break through bleeding. Not on my second 3 month pack and I am spotting all the time. It is dark brown blood and not usually a lot but it just goes on forever. went on for 3 weeks. Stopped for one. and so on. I am now on week 10 about to be week 11. It ended after 3 weeks 3 days ago but i see a little tiny bit of brown again and I am thinking it is going to start again. What can I do? I have put on weight recently. 10 lbs. Is that making this less effective? I get mixed reviews on when the spotting should be under control. (some say after pack one some say after pack two). I would just like some advice is all (more than "call your doctor")

There are two major tests of readiness for college: the ACT and the SAT.

SAT scores are reported on a scale from 400 to 1600. SAT scores have been roughly Normal with mean  = 1026 and standard deviation  = 209.

On one piece of paper (no ragged edges!, straight horizontal axes – use a ruler or

a computer software)

draw a symmetrical curve with proper bending that represents the density curve for N(20.9, 4.8).

On the horizontal axis mark clearly the seven pertinent points,w attach the numerical label to each of the marked points.

Shade the area representing scores less than 28 (mark clearly 28 on the horizontal axis).

Under your graph:

1.clearly report the exact value of shaded area,

2. display the z-value corresponding to the right endpoint of the area,

3. display Q1 (the 1st quartile of the distribution) and its z-value,

4. display Q3 (the 3rd quartile of the distribution) and its z-value.

All numbers must be reported exactly (many, many digits) as shown on TI-84 Plus

(I need a proof that you used TI-84 Plus for your calculation).

To compute the shaded area you can use normalcdf (your first option)

or you can use DISTR DRAW ShadeNorm (your second option)

that will show you the shaded area and also its value.

The instruction for ShadeNorm is the same as for normalcdf,

the only headache is with adjusting your WINDOW to see the display

(see next page for the instruction).

Instruction for setting your WINDOW (when you choose your second option):

1. Close all applications. 2. Clear all drawings before you try a new one (2nd DRAW 1 ENTER).

3. Open DISTR Menu (2nd VARS), select 1, type mean, mean, standdev, ) ENTER

4. In your mind round UP the number, open WINDOW and type the number as Ymax, move to Ymin and type (see the bottom of your CALCULATOR for the short minus) - Ymax/3 ENTER, Xscl must be 1,

Xmax = MEAN + 4*StandDeviation ENTER, Xmin = MEAN – 4*StandDeviation ENTER.

After that you can display the graph with the area shaded. To do it

open DISTR Menu , move to DRAW, Select 1, (once more see (-) on your Calculator) type -1

2nd ,

THEN select 2ND to see -1E type 99 , the right endpoint , mean , standdev , ) ENTER

To compute any Quartile, use invNorm( from the DISTR menu.

My fiance is busy getting ready for the coastguard and I am at home with my parents (we are getting married after I finish college) and he only calls me for a few minutes a day at midnight or later just to say he loves me and he has to go to sleep. I see him once a week and everything is perfect, but I feel left out when I'm not there. I understand that there are things he has to do like move out of his apartment and prepare but I feel he should try a bit harder to try and take time for what he calls "his world" (me). This isn't ground for leaving him so don't suggest stupid things like that.

For my job I HAVE to be pretty and slim and well kept. I think everyone should look their best, but what about heavier people. I come from a large family and I dont really see size or colour or race... but do you ever find that you look down on fat people or think less of them? Do you think less of me for asking? Did anyone ever lie and say they were lighter then they actually were?
