I don't remember the exact words of the quote, but Churchill was giving a pep talk to British citizens about the attack of the Germans, and he used the words "blood, sweat and tears".

Lady Astor (first woman MP in the House of Commons): "Mr Churchill, if you were my husband, I'd put poison in your tea."

Regarding his view of how stupid the English rule is that you may not end a sentence with a preposition:
