There are many people who do not believe in the christian God, or Jesus, if you do not believe then why do ...
you feel that you have to answer questions directed to christians. If you truly do not believe, then why do you talk about Him so much ?
Evangelist, William M. Butler
Grace Evangelistic Ministry
Mr Skeptic, I am sorry you misunderstood my question. I have nothing against anybody, I only wondered why a person that doesn't believe in God would feel like they needed to talk so much about God. You see I never even think of a world without God. So I have no answers or questions for those who don't believe. You understand ? I'm not mad at anybody, I would love to see everybody come to Christ, but I'll never shove it down anyone's throat. You see nobody can come to Christ unless the Father send him, not me, God the Father.
My ministry is helping the homeless, the oppressed, the abused, drug abusers and any one else that the world has turned their backs on. I am not payed for my ministry, as a matter of fact I pay for it. All the money that is used to help negelected people, and missionaries over seas, comes out of my disablity check. I am a disabled Vietnam Veteran. My wife has cancer and is also disabled. But we give most of our money away. We don't have a car, we take the bus.
As for all the killing and dirty deeds of some of the huge movements in christianty. I would be willing to bet I forgot more than you will ever know. I am educated in the Holy Scriptures, including all the gore that went down from the first corruption that took place in the second century, to that which is going on right now.
So, my mad little friend, the next time you feel like attacking someone, think twice.

What a great question! As a pastor said once - Satan believed in Jesus -- that's why he gave Jesus such a hard time. I think that people who have been really hurt by so called "Christians" in their past decide that all Christians will hurt them in the same way and therefore they are anti-Christian. Both my sisters were very hurt by the Episcopal priests at the church we went to as kids (they ignored my sisters' pleas to help my mother who was ill). Being the youngest I didn't know that happened so didn't see the hypocrisy and so I became a Christian. (I loved church.) I believe that sometimes Satan is very happy when so called "Christians" are jerks because that means there will be more people who aren't going to become Christians. A true Christian brings love into the world, not hate.

Regardless of my beliefs, let us get something straight, there are good and bad Christians and Atheist. Most of us can attest that there have been just as many bad Christians in History as Atheists but this is besides the point.
The reason so many Atheists talk about the Christian God is because it is in the forefront of American religious culture. If America was a Hindu nation then Atheists would question Hindu gods.
Atheism is about the non-belief in all gods(not just the Christian one) as well as all things that fall into the realm of mythology and fantasy and holds that gods do not exist based on reason. It is precisely because they do not believe that a god exists that they question and debate it. And, if you truly believe that a god exists then your beliefs along with fact should stand the test of questions.
Do not be hypocrites and bash and insult people of other beliefs. You will win more flies with honey than vinegar, this I know is true. Argue with respect for the opposing party. This applies to the religious and non-religious alike.

I am neither Christian nor Atheist, but I answer any and all questions that I find interesting. I feel that by limiting who can and can't answer a question, you are merely fishing for confirmation of your own beliefs or sometimes... a fight. I believe that everyone should have the chance to be heard, or in this case, read. If there is a question that I have an opinion on, I will answer regardless as to weather the asker says it's only for Christians, only for Atheists, or only for any other group.

I have no problem with atheists or anyone else of other beliefs answering questions outside of their own beliefs, so long as their answer is valid.
Example:
Question: Christians only, is this a sin?
Invalid answer: There is no God, and you're delusional.
Valid answer: I'm an atheist, but when I was a Christian, I remember reading this in the Bible....
I've received excellent answers from atheists and others on my questions that were directed to Christians only.

This question is directed to non-believers, so why are you surprised that non-believers are answering it? All religions claim that it is their duty to spread the word of god and save the lost sheep..or something. So non-believers have to defend themselves. I've said this a million times. If theists kept their religion to themselves, they wouldn't hear a peep from anyone else. But you are arrogant enough to claim to know what is good for everyone else. I have nothing against theists doing their thing, I would even fight for your right to religious freedom. But why can't you leave people alone? I was recently told by a christian that the reason that I have nothing against gays is because I am not brave enough to speak out against evil. How should I react to such stupidity?

I have invested years studying various religions from around the globe and as far back as a few dead languages. My concept of God goes beyond the understanding of basic Christianity. Most Christians have come a long way in the last century but the church has a vested interest in maintaining your bond to useless dogma. Ritual does nothing but bind the participant to habit and dooms him to repeat his errors. No one religion has all the answers yet all religions share commonalities. Look beyond your precious sphere into the unknown and you may evolve beyond the need for dogma. Physics will one day acknowledge God. To it's disgrace the church will deny their theory as Blaspheme. Step outside your shell and at least make an effort to look your precious Christ in the eye. He will forgive you your failures and mistakes but upon his second coming there will be no tears shed for the cowardly and self righteous.

I'm at the point that "Christian" isn't an applicable word for me because the definition is far to limiting to explain the Child of God that I am. I find that most Christians deny the power that individuals who follow the teachings of Jesus inherit. Followers of Jesus also listen with open hearts to good counsel from all sources. Christians however worship the Bible and claim it infallible which makes it God for only God is infallible. I hope more Christians become followers of Christ than the followers of religion that they now are.
EDIT:
(2Ti 3:1)
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
God is love. Experience is truth. Experience love.
Love one another.

Because I was scared into Christianity at an early age, by my evangelistic uncle at my grandmother's (his mother's) funeral. Then I spent the next 12 years reading the bible countless times, attending evangelical churches (and finally seminary), trying to feel "the spirit", when it finally occured to me that the Christian God couldn't give a flying fornication for me, or my folk.
The Gods of my ancestors do care about us, though, and want us to be happy.
Now, I'm happily Asatru, and having a great deal of knowledge of the Christian path, I'm qualified to answer.
Ironically, the more I studied Christianity, the more concrete was my belief that the Christian God is a blight on the souls of just about anyone who follows him.

To "correct" christian misconceptions of who the Son of the Lord in heaven "truly" WAS. This came about after MILLIONS of the REAL disciples of Jesus (Yezua) were put to death by catholics, judeo christians, jews and romans and greeks. I am a researcher of religions and ALSO ordained in TWO faiths.
1. Spiritual Humanism
2. Priest of Amen in Yezua many call "Theban christian"

I don't answer questions that deal with matters of faith, belief or personal experience. But as my knowledge of the bible is as good as if not superior to many Christians I know, I do answer questions based on it.
