Did you know the prime time to watch meteors is 2:00 am to 5:00am?
First person to tell me the accurate reason gets 10 points and a thumbs up from me.
I want to see a ton of stars. Each one will be a falling star on August 12.

As the night progresses the numbers of meteors visible will increase. As the Earth rotates toward the apex (the point in the sky where the Earth appears to be traveling toward), meteors striking the Earth from perpendicular angles and those striking the Earth from head-on will become visible. The best time to see meteor activity would be the period just before the start of morning twilight, when most of the meteors will be striking the Earth from a "head-on" position, much like looking through the front windshield of a vehicle during rain or snow.

Yes.
The Earth rotates counterclockwise (viewed from Polaris) and moves in the orbit with the same direction. The Earth side between midnight to noon is like your face when run in the rain. Of course, after the sunrise the meteors continue falling but is hard to see they. From noon to midnight the meteors still can fall but the probability is much less.
