My friends baby is nearly 11 months old and hasnt cut a single tooth yet.?

My daughter didn't cut her first tooth until 2 weeks after her first birthday. Every child is different, I wouldn't worry about it, he will get teeth when they are ready to come out.

It is much easier on the baby when they get teeth later. They are less likely to be as miserable and are easier to soothe and can deal with it better. It is perfectly normal for babies to get teeth at different ages and all babies really do end up with teeth. It is also completely hereditary (except under very deprived circumstances) so someone back in your genes must have been a late teether!! Don't worry. And lots of toothless babies can even eat all the same things that kids with teeth can eat -- they just gum them.

If it's really a concern then she should talk to her pediatrician. A lot of children don't cut their first teeth until between 11-13 months.

I don't remember exactly, but I don't think my daughter got her first teeth until around 11 months.

well it is said that the longer it takes to get teeth the better there teeth will be..because there less likely to get bottle rot...my middle daughter got her first tooth at about 11 1\2 months...

Didn't cut until I was just over 1 year. My mouth was spacy for all my teeth to come through, and I turned out with perfectly straight teeth. People ask me when I had braces.

i have 4 children and out of them my first didn't get one until she was 12 1/2 months ..it is quite common

My nephew didnt gets his first teeth until after his first birthday.

There is not a rule of thumbs, every kid is different.
