Every single sin you and I and the rest of all humanity have committed. Yes even Adolf Hitlers. Youre a good lad are you? Have you ever lied? That one tells you right there you needed someone to die for your sins to be forgiven. Peace out...

In principle, everyone's. The theory behind it - how could he get us all forgiven by being crucified - is a bit primitive, but here goes.

Gods in the ancient world were a bit like human rulers, but mega-powerful. Only a short dip into Greek or other mythology will show them fighting, having affairs, being drunk, kidnapping pretty boys for immoral purposes......and like human rulers, you had to keep them sweet to get anything out of them. If you sent the king some tasty wine, he'd be on your side in your next court case, and so on.

Hence the business of sacrifice - not always, but usually, involving the killing of an animal. This was a gift to the gods. Some of the meat was burnt so that the smoke went up to the relevant god, the rest was just eaten.

For a little favour from the gods, or to give thanks for something small, a small sacrifice (a pigeon or two) was enough. For something big, a lamb, a sheep or even a whole ox. Even human sacrifice was not unknown, sometimes with the consent of the victim; King Kodros of Athens deliberately got himself killed in battle when an oracle said that his people, the city of Athens, would be saved if he died.

For the salvation of a city, a king was sacrificed; for the salvation of the whole world, the sacrifice of a god - in fact, of the God - was needed. The logic is clear.

Personally, I don't go along with it, but I'm not a 1stC religious type. They didn't all believe in Jesus, obviously, but all of them sacrificed - pagans of Greece & Rome, Jews, Mithraic believers etc. were all used to seeing animals bleed & die for religious reasons, so the idea of an enormous sacrifice buying an enormous favour wouldn't in itself seem strange.

Catholics still speak of the sacrifice of the Mass, and the name for the consecrated bread representing the broken body of Jesus - the host - comes from the Latin for sacrificial victim, so although we don't now think in those terms or expect to bribe and flatter God into favouring us, the idea is not quite dead.

Sorry to be so long about it, but this explains how & why Jesus gave himself - quite deliberately according to the Gospels - for the forgiveness of everyone's sins.

You are a good lad? Who are you comparing yourself too- other people or God?. When I compared myself to others, I was always able to find someone that I was better than- however the day I began comparing myself to God- I knew I fell short.

ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. And The wages of sin is death, BUT the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (read the book of Romans).

    Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved

Romans 10:10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation

Jesus was put to death because he highlighted how wrong the Romans and several corrupt Jewish priests were, he was a threat, and had to die - he died as a result of their sins, as a testimony of the truth.

Moral of the storey: Do not commit murder in the Name of God.

Yours and mine. The Bible says all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Jesus came to seek and to save sinners .If you are not a sinner than He did not die for you and you are on your way to hell.Maybe you are a good lad but ...you are a liar. The Bible says ...if we say we have not sinned we are a liar.

He died for the sins of all of us!

Saying youre "Good" in your own eyes means nothing!

Romans 3:23 says "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God"

You are a sinner and so am I but the difference is i AM SAVED by His wonderful and loving GRACE =) so that I may not perish but have everlasting life with Him in heaven!!

JESUS died for all sinners, but those who accept him and believe on his name , and repent of their sins and be baptized for the remission of their sins will be saved. JESUS died for when we were yet sinners to save the whole world, but those who gladly receive him will have atonement for their sins. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of GOD. Who is without sin cast the first stone. No one not even you . So go and repent and ask GOD to forgive your sins right know.

    All the worlds sins.

You have told white lies...that makes you a liar.

You have looked at a female and had impure thoughts..that makes you a person who lusts.

You have taken something that did not belong to you one time or another...that makes you a thief.

You are not perfect my friend and are in need of a Savor who is. Jesus Christ. :0)

He died not only for the sins of mankind but also so that we as individuals could, without the help of the church, be saved. We have only to accept Him into our hearts and lives and believe in Him.
