How much firepower would be needed to reduce an 800 square KM radius to molten lava?
Question says it all really.
To clarify, I want to know how much firepower you need to apply to an 800KM radius to turn that area into molten material.
Ok, for further clarification- the area is an 800 square KM- or to perhaps better define it, the area of a large city, such as New York City. The depth of the lava should be at least 1 metre, but ideally 2 or 3 metres.

No, your question is not complete. Molten lava how deep?
And the surface area is ill defined. Is that 800 km radius, or 800 square kilometer area?
A 800 km radius would be 2 million km^2, that is not exactly the same thing.

Firepower? Um you can't shoot rock and then get molten rock ("molten lava" is redundant) You do realize the term "firepower" is mostly used for weaponry, right? Are you planning a nuclear attack?

My question to you is why are you trying to rid 800 km of MOLTEN lava? why not wait til it hardens then use something like ohhhhh IDK maybe a bulldozer. which will be cheaper and legal
