Would it be possible to do time travel in a space ship, if it could go fast enough?

TIME = PAST PRESENT FUTURE

we have absolutely, positively, no control over any of these qualities. we can NEVER change time.

especially notice how speed has absolutely nothing to do with the time formula......

The only formula containing time and speed is

distance / time = speed

notice in this formula we do not calculate ALL of time, we only calculate the amount of time it takes for something to travel the amount of distance, therefore: we can only change the amount of passing of time required to achieve a certain distance, so, in simple, if you travel faster, you get there faster. no time travel. ever.

Some things can be figured out and some things will just never happen.

The planet we live on is constantly doing the "sling-shot effect" around the Sun and the only direction in time we travel is forward through time. I doubt if traveling back in time is possible.

Theoretically speaking, it is possible to use a super duper fast spaceship to seek time travel but not at the level you (nor Hollywood) is thinking.

The light we receive from the stars here on Earth have literally traveled millions of miles to get here. IF you could design a ship that was fast enough and safe enough for the passenger, you could shoot past Earth towards those stars and see them as they were millions of years ago (because light travels so quickly). In theory, if you believe in the Big Bang Theory, you would believe that the Earth and our galaxy were a result of a huge explosion. With the theory I just gave you, you could travel in your ship and literally witness the beginning of time as we know it.

Current theories do not revolve around going fast enough to time travel. However that being said, if your speed approches the speed of light, the theory of relativity states that time will slow down for you so you will effectivly travel into the future (unable to return) relative to a "stationary" object.

There are theories that say that a time-machine would ultimately be possible given enough energy to break the brane that we live on to move to another point on it. Image taking a piece of paper and bending it, if you could punch though the paper, you could get to the other end very quickly despite the long distance along the plane of the paper itself.

Yes but you could only go forward in time. By approaching the speed of light, time would stop for you. When you return "to earth" everyone is older. You buy a bunch of good stocks, time travel, and tomorrow you've got a years worth of interest. Neat?

Going in the past seems difficult, but going in future is somewhat possible. If you go on a trip in space and by chance happen to pass a black hole, then in 2 weeks u spend on the space ship, many years will have passed on the earth. So, you can return younger than your grandson.

The twins theory addresses that. It creates a spaceship that can moves faster than the world spins, and thereby, by accumulating days saved by crossing the International Date Line, have little time pass for him/herself inside the spaceship, make time move slower for him/her, and move faster for those on Earth, thereby allowing one to 'marry their grandmother'.

No. Time is regardless of space. That's like saying you go east-ward around the earth and once you do it you're a day in the future. Not happening. Time goes on. You occupy space at a certain time. Time/Space does not revolve around you. Everything is happening at the same time. Earth is moving in our solar system, our solar system is moving in another direction, our galaxy is moving in another different direction, and so are our neighboring galaxies and nothing ever occupies the same space ever again.

Time ' travel ' already exists, just not commonly known of. What was the name of that navy ship years ago...in port / dock located back east years ago...a government experiment was done on it with fascinating results...the Philadelphia experiment ? There have been many discoveries / inventions that were in place long before it was aware knowledge to the general public...time travel is one of them. Also look into quantum physics. Cool stuff.
