Please explain the dislike of Esperanto by so many people. What is the fear or rationale?

People don't want to lose their cultural identity. I mean, Esperanto is a great idea and all, but a little bit of everyone's cultural identity is locked in the words they speak. The concept of a culture-less language seems to many like it would water down the diversity of the world.

And many have a bit of animosity for it because of the few speakers and the fact that it hasn't, and probably will not, catch on as planned.

I speak English and some German.  I don't fear other languages, but have no interest in learning them.  Do you fear learning German? 

 If a person who only speaks German comes to your place of business, will you be prepared to provide them with equal access to services, as well as forms and instruction booklets in German?

i do not know but it is a language with no native speakers.
it is a language that was invented differently that almost all other  languages.
