the average amount of time it take a normal couple to get pregnant is about 8 months. There is no reason to think something is wrong so soon. You're odds of getting pregnant each month are only about 25%.
Be sure to chart your cycle and try to have sex on the days that you're most fertile. You can set up an appt with your OB/GYN to have a physical that would probably be covered by your insurance as a regular appt.

Typically you need o give yourself 8months to a year of trying before you start fertility testing. Depending on what kind of abortion you had you could have scarring that could make conception difficult.
As far as your insurance goes, you should have some sort of question/awnser general info line that you can call to see what kind of coverage you have.
You could also try an over the counter ovulation kit. Ept does one that is reasonably priced and easy to use.

The man is fairly easy to test (I dont know about costs...) his semen is put under a microscope and the healthy sperm are counted. Female tests are more involved and more expensive. This would involve testing to see if you are ovulating, scans to look at teh condition of the fallopian tubes and uterus.
3 months really isnt that long, keep trying and see if a doctor will refer you, he will also be able to give you an idea of costs..;

You're never going to get pregnant if you're freaked out thinking you're sterile after just 3 months! Why would that make you think you're sterile?? You should ONLY start to worry after A YEAR of trying....going nuts and thinking you're sterile is only going to stress you out, and you'll never get pregnant if you're stressing.
