Sneezing kitten?

Chances are the kitten has an upper respiratory infection. If not treated the kitten will start to decline, refuse to eat or drink which will lead to other health problems. A trip to vet should provide an antibiotic for the infection and even some eye medication. Depending on how advanced the infection is the vet may postpone giving the kitten any vaccines for now until she's healthy. If you decide to keep this little one, consider giving her a healthy start on life by having her seen by a vet.

BTW - URI in cats is very contagious to other cats.

It doesn't have to be serious - and it can be. Mostly those colds or flus are viral and will resolve themselves. With a kitten it's not a good idea to take that chance.

You kitten deserves a vet check and testing for some feline diseases. If kitty has the flu the vet won't want to start shots just yet and the shots are very necessary so you may have to go back for that. Sometimes the vet will give you medication (antibiotic) to prevent the possibility of a secondary bacterial infection which could cause pneumonia.

The vet will give you advice on how to take care of the kitten while she has this and what you must look for in the event her illness takes a turn for the worse.

So take her off to her "doctor" tomorrow (some vets are open Saturday mornings). Don't wait till next week.

I don't want to scare you but a few weeks ago this happened to my cat. Sneezing, watery eyes, then swelling of the cheek area. I thought she was bitten then took her to the vet and found out that she had a Bot Fly larva embedded in her face. She was too curious the vet said. Maybe stuck her head in rabbit hole or something. The egg went in through her nose (sneezing & watery eye). Then it developed into larva. It was huge and is very dangerous. It can cause seizures. Just be on the look out for swelling. This swelling will also have a small opening for the larva to get air.

It sounds like the kitten has an upper respiratory infection. Take it to the vet to get it checked out.

I have been given my kitten from the humane society and it became into unwell and sneezing everywhere. They gave it drugs and it became into wonderful a quick time later. i think of all you're able to do is circulate to the vet and ask them aboud drugs or some thing. i desire your kitty feels extra valuable quickly!!! abyssinian's are cute! solid success!!!

Take him to the vet. We had a stray cat who had exactly that and we took hinm to the vets and he had cat fllu, which we caught just in time before he would have died. Always best to check it out with them.

if she was used to being outside and now you have her inside she may have an allergy to something inside your house i would keep her eyes clean and give it a couple of days if she is still sneezing then you may need to make a visit to the vet and please dont forget to have her spayed....

use a used teabag to clean animal eyes, after having her checked out at the vet for cat flu, which is contagious and can be fatal
