How often do you have sex in a 'normal' relationship?

I learned in my human sexuality class it's seven times a month on average for people in a serious relationship. So just over once a week.

Depends on what you mean by "normal" and in what stage of the relationship you are in. A 50 year old couple obviously won't be having as much sex as couples in their 20s (in most cases...lol). I think a conservative amount would be 1 time per week, but more than likely approaching 3 or 4 at least.

There is no such thing as a normal relationship. Some people have sex 3-4 times daily, others only once weekly, it depends on how long you have been married, and what type of things have happened in your life. Everyone has different things that happen. I would guess that an avergae would be about twice weekly for those other than newlyweds.

well it all depends on the person 4 me it's at least 3 times a week but sometimes I think that is 2 much but 4 a normal relationship I think it will have t be 2 times a week

I heard a lot of married couples have it about once every month. I don't know how these people survive.

My hubby and I have it about 3 times a week and I still think that is not enough. We have been married for almost 2 years and dated about 6 years before getting married.

But the average according to a study that I read a year ago is about once or twice a week. God help those people.

interesting question...what is a normal relationship? myself i would like to have sex at least 4 out of the 7 days of the week. since marriage it seems to have gone to maybe two or three times a month....oh well gotta keep asking

Well i am 21 years old, and my gf and I, who have been together two years have sex at minimum 1 every other 2 days....and that is during an incredibly busy and tiring schedule...and that is the minimum...sometimes multiple times a day...when things are lax and we're not that busy....some weeks we go 10+ times...

There is no right answer for the number of times, people have different sex drives. If you are properly suited sex-drive-wise, when you want to, your partner will USUALLY want to. And whatever is right for you two is right for your relationship. Everyone thinks that everyone else is having nonstop sex, and it just isn't so!

Hm well I dont know if its normal or not. Weve been married 3 yrs, together 4 no children. And atleast 4 times a week (more if it were up to me).

i think thats up to the couple involved, 'normal' will vary according to whats going on in their lives at the time and their individual desire for it. some people could have sex once a day and be normal for some their normal could be once a year.
