why do people think it's fun to humiliate people?

Because they have low self-esteems and they want to bring others down to their level and make them feel bad too.

humiliation does bring comedy. Making fun of yourself is humiliating yourself (pretty much). Others might have a low self esteem and feel that putting others down would leave them in a higher stature. Yet if it does hurt them physically, i don't think its all bad.

Becuase it makes them feel "in control" of something else other than their life. People humiliate other people becuase they may have suffered it before, and thus transfer their anger to another peoson, wh they feel have some sort of control over. Thus when they do this, they derive some sort of pleasure, which they feel is fun.

When you're humiliating someone else, you're desperately trying to avoid humiliation yourself.

Because we are all selfish in this world and it is human to tease others at some point, by pushing others down so we go up in status. People think it is fun because everyone else is doing it, that is another reason. I totally agree with you that this is wrong. Thanks

I agree with most people. When someone does that that feel insecure about themselves, and make fun of you because they see something in you they wish they could be.

Because they are immature and cruel. They are dealing with issues themselves but rather than focus on their own issues, they pick on other people who they think are easy targets. It's pure ignorance.

after hatred and bigotry, it is one of humankind's uglier little secrets, isn't it? Wish we could change. . . I feel ashamed when I see those urges in myself. A lot of us are disciplined enough to divert the urges, but yeah, they still are there.
