  • The U.S.- Why is it that ...?

    Other rich nations have social policies that provide child care, universal health insurance, pre-school, parental leave and visiting nurses to virtually all in need.

    While the united states, with it's higher rates of teen pregnancy, high-school dropout, violent crime, imprisonment, and poverty? I mean, the US is a First World nation.

    But once these items are mentioned suddenly that person is a Socialist or Commie?

    Shouldn't basic human rights be universal?

    Hell I would work as a Pizza Delivery boy if I know I would have decent health insurance, for walls and a bed and 3 meals a day (oh, and a dog).

    Does one have to leave the US to enjoy such privileges (or win the lottery)?
