I'll be reaching there at 9 am and my next train (Jammu Tawi Express) is at 11:45 am. Will I reach on time?

I'm a Student living alone in a rented room. However, this is the first time I'm applying for a passport. What all documents will I need? I've read that for students, they can apply from the place of study. It also states that in such cases, for the proof of address a bona fide certificate from the Principal or the Dean of the educational institute is a must. What does it mean? what address will I have put in the space? I've just moved to this city like four months ago. So I'll have to mention my permanent address to where I was living. Will I need to show them a proof from that place as well?

I'm an Indian Citizen, living in Bangalore. I don't even know the local language here so it's hard for me communicate with the people at the passport office. Does anyone has any experience like this? Please share and guide me. If you'd like to email then my id is the same as the one displayed.
