Hard rock bands that are melodic and have decent singers?

I have 11 songs by collective Soul for a compilation CD. They take up 44 minutes, so I need other songs to fill up the CD. Any suggestions of similar bands?

I have 10 Jethro Tull songs, totaling 36 minutes, to put on a CD. Any ideas of what other bands from the early/mid seventies can go on the CD that have similar or complementary sounds to Jethro Tull?

As far as I know, none of the guys in the band are Jewish. The song was written by Pat Monahan and two Norwegian guys.

I have seen this at school and where I work for years. The Vietnamese girls dress nicely and try to look attractive, while it seems that the Chinese girls go out of their way to look frumpy. This isn't a racist statement; it's something that I have consistently observed.
