I need help with a name for a medieval (English or Anglo-Saxon) castle I'm writing a story about....

Please help me find a good name for a medieval heroine: she's a merchant's daughter and not aristocratic. These are the ones I came up with:

There were blacks in the UK two thousand years ago - the Welsh dna shows definite trace of this and the scientists think that is because many Romans who stayed behind when the troops were pulled back took refuge in Wales (and part of the Roman population in Britain, as elsewhere, was black).

There was a black community in London in the 1500s and although some people complained of this (documents in the archives still today) they did quite well for themselves and never moved out, so God knows how many descendants they have in the UK today...

Did you know that in some villages in Cheshire the inhabitants have an Asian gene? That's because their villages were founded by Vikings a thousand years ago and contrary to what most people think, all Vikings were not 6 feet tall and blonde, some of them were of Native origin (Sami) and looked Chinese.

There has never been a time when there were no foreigners in the UK, and no time when everyone knew the national anthem, a hundred years ago people were still analphabets to a considerable extent and maybe they all knew The Lord's Prayer but not the national anthem....

I think many elderly people remember the past through rose-tinted spectacles...when the older generation of today grew up there was War, famine and people died about thirty years earlier than today. I think they should be grateful for the country they're living in.

There is this guy on my block who has been sending me love letters for years and he keeps ringing my best friend asking for my number. He has literally called her hundreds of times. Once he rang from a psychiatric ward and begged her to bring me there to see him.

The reason he rings my friend is that his mother had my friend's telephone number and he got it from her.

I don't know this guy, but I say 'hello' when I see him because we live on the same street, but we have never talked more than that!

Today they told me in the shop that he had been asking for me and when I came home he had sent a huge bunch of flowers and a postcard with a couple kissing each other.

What should I do?? I am scared of this guy and so is my friend.
