Guitar players. I just got a Donner delux looper and all I can get it to do is buzz loudly. I cleared anything that may have been artifact, my cables are good...any ideas. Besides get a new one. This one is new.

I just bought an Okuma abf 40a to put on a rod I already have to try for surf perch in soCal. The rod is only 6' and this reel is stupid big for it. What's a better fit? I'll be using 8lb mono.

Something versatile for sandbass halibut lingcod maybe yellowtail if I venture down to San Diego. I grew up fishing lakes in the Midwest and it is such a different game.
