How come a car dealer can’t tell me my credit score ?
I went to get a new car but I didn’t qualify for the best rate because my credit score wasn’t high enough, I asked what it was, he said he wasn’t allowed to show me, was he lying to me?

The dealership purchased your credit score. The information belongs to them.
If you want your credit score, you can purchase it from the credit bureau.
Many states require the dealer to send you explanation of WHY you were denied credit, but they still don't have to tell you your exact score.

Nope. There’s no benefit to the dealership to getting into a discussion with you about your credit score. They just want you to pay the higher interest rate.
