That is one thing about a fast. You can be vegan, vegetarian on not eat pork or even live on salads. Just take a few days to not eat. The widow in the temple in the bible fasted two days a week. Usually monday and thursday. Then eat light and only one meal a day. It not only improves your health it can cure many diseases.
