Do the research on El Salvador, Honduras (the murder capital of the world), and Guatemala, Hopeful.  In 2008, the Bush/Cheney administration signed into law a bipartisan bill that prevents unaccompanied minor children coming to our border from Central America from being automatically deported---a law that President Obama tried very hard to get the Boehner/McConnell-led 2012 Congress to reverse without getting any cooperation.  What President Obama did since he had no cooperation from a dirty-tricks GOP-led Congress was multifaceted in election year 2012 while anti-immigration right-wing propaganda was being fired from every GOP outlet:  He set up a covert "Operation Coyote" with ICE and Homeland Security that began making MASS ARRESTS of human traffickers at the southern border (22 captured on the first try), confiscating all these coyotes' equipment, including their telltale cellphones, freezing all their banked assets, and then tracking the clues to the U.S. contacts---something that had migration all the way down to NET ZERO by the end of 2012.  

What the white nationalist and white supremacist groups seem to forget:  It is LEGAL for immigrants (refugees) to come to our border to seek asylum, protected by the U.S. Constitution.  The 2008 Bush-signed immigration law for Central American countries acknowledged that the violence and corruption in the three named countries above pose clear dangers, so anyone asking for asylum is entitled to DUE PROCESS and any unaccompanied minor children must be handed over to the Department of Health and Human Services for care and processing while the children await hearings for asylum status.  What the OPERATION COYOTE program did was expose some of the traffickers as Heritage Foundation/RNC-recruited for-hire right-wing mercenaries who were from Betsy DeVos's brother Erik Prince's Prince Group (formerly Blackwater indicted for murder in Iraq).  

People in these caravans are being coached, right from the beginning.
