    Ethos:

**Ethos is a Greek word meaning "character" that is used to describe the guiding beliefs or ideals that characterize a community, nation, or ideology. The Greeks also used this word to refer to the power of music to influence emotions, behaviors, and even morals.

Most any school, college or university will have these things as their guiding principle.

    Ethos is described above.

A mission, or mission statement is what the school wants to accomplish.

**A mission statement is a short statement of why an organization exists, what its overall goal is, identifying the goal of its operations: what kind of product or service it provides, its primary customers or market, and its geographical region of operation.

Harvard's mission statement is as follows:

The mission of Harvard College is to educate the citizens and citizen-leaders for our society. We do this through our commitment to the transformative power of a liberal arts and sciences education.

This will be different for every organization.

To me, aim is the same as mission, so not sure what the difference is between the two.

The values are defined as follows:**In ethics, value denotes the degree of importance of some thing or action, with the aim of determining what actions are best to do or what way is best to live, or to describe the significance of different actions.

    Harvard University Statement of Values:

Respect for the rights, differences, and dignity of others.

Honesty and integrity in all dealings.

Conscientious pursuit of excellence in one's work.

Accountability for actions and conduct in the workplace.
