how was the old testament canon created and when.?

ive heard so many false beliefs on how the old testament was formed, so i can't believe Genesis to Malachi was the only word of God to the Jews. and it was definitely not canonized by the christian bishops who didn't even have authority as an apostle, any of them. and yet the cannon of the bishops included the Apocrypha which the Jews outlawed. Apocrypha means hidden, not illegal. and i think the prophet Esdras was either more talented than many apostles and prophets that He even had 7 scribes writing for him at one time. He was so inspired. the Apocrypha has been said to exist in the bible till the 15 or 16th century. so who took it out of the bible?

The history of the Western Biblical canon, with references:

    >> and it was definitely not canonized by the christian bishops who didn't even have authority as an apostle, any of them <<

    ???

How could you possibly know that to be true?

According to tradition, Peter was a bishop. Was he not an apostle?

According to tradition, Paul was a bishop. Was he not an apostle?

    etc.

    >> and yet the cannon of the bishops included the Apocrypha which the Jews outlawed <<

    OK...

it seems what you're talking about here

when you say "the cannon of the bishops"

is the Anglican Biblical canon established by the Convocation of Canterbury in 1563.

That was the first official English Biblical canon to include a section entitled "Apocrypha"

(though one could argue that Matthew's Bible was the first, in 1537, that Bible being authorized by the king, who was the head of the Anglican church.)

    >> i think the prophet Esdras was either more talented than many apostles and prophets that He even had 7 scribes writing for him at one time. He was so inspired. the Apocrypha has been said to exist in the bible till the 15 or 16th century. so who took it out of the bible <<

    "Esdras"

is the Greek form of the name "Ezra"

and the books of 1 & 2 Esdras in the Apocrypha

were originally entitled 3 & 4 Esdras in the Bible.

    (Nehemiah was entitled 2 Esdras).

They are also ascribed by the author to Ezra.

So: ***they claim*** to be authored by Ezra

that same Ezra who wrote The Book of Ezra

but we know from many particulars

    that they were not.

    Interesting history:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Esdras#Historical_de...

Note that both 1 & 2 Esdras are known ***only in Greek*** (though both speculated to be originally authored in Hebrew)

1 Esdras is dated to the second century B.C.E.

2 Esdras is dated to the first century C.E.

In BOTH cases, centuries after the supposed author lived.

So: it would seem that those who decided to exclude them in ancient times did so knowledgeably.

You are correct to doubt the official story. God did not dictate anything.
