The correct preposition is..."Is"  Is Jesus the son of God, Yes He is, Is he also God yes He is

Humans need parents.  Mary was Jesus' mom, and God was his father.  So, in that, Jesus is son of God.

However, Jesus is also God Himself.  Who chose to live amongst us in human form - and be limited by that form.

So, Jesus is both God, and Son of God.  Both God, and human.

not in the sense that God would have sexual entercourse with a human.. that is a greek mythological idea..... God just says " BE"  and things appear.. like how he created the whole universe and ADam and Eve.... we are all creations of God.. and if you want to t hink of it as sons and daughters, fine , but its not like human father... in the bible,, other people were labelled as sons and daughters of God too, but no one calls them demi God  or equate to Jesus..... Jesus was just a wonderful human that God chose to be a prophet among a long line of men chosen , all given unique special abilities to help their mission,.. doesnt make them God like... 

Well, what does "son" mean?

It usually means someone who has half of your DNA.  Does God even HAVE DNA?

But, we also accept the there are sons of adoptive fathers.  And, metaphorically, believers says that ALL humans are God's children.
