Heaven Bound professing Christians !?

According to your belief why did the evildoer (that was killed alongside Jesus)go to heaven? If he wasn't even baptized and didn't have the holy spirit. He was not a born again Christian.

**he did not say he was going to heaven but that he would be in paradise.  So some are going to live on the earth.  He will be resurrected to live on earth.  Given time to prove he will be a honest man.

(Revelation 5:10) and you made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they are to rule as kings over the earth.”

He became born again when He recognized Jesus as the Savior and requested that he be saved. Jesus never turns away anyone who requests salvation.

He confessed his sins and asked Christ to forgive him (remember me).

The Roman version of the Gospels called them evildoers. But to the Jews they were honorable heroes as was Barabbas. The three had been arrested for being part of a Jewish militia trying to overthrow the Roman Government. The 3 would have been crucified together if Barabbas hadn't been freed and replaced by Jesus.

He repented of course. Jesus is the Judge of all. Even human judges can show leniency in their judgments.

Romans 9:15 — For God said to Moses, “I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose.”

He may have been baptized by John the Baptist.  If not, then PROVE IT.

He did not qualify to go to Heaven.

lets consider whether that evildoer met the qualifications for heavenly life. Humans with heavenly prospects have been baptized in water and with holy spirit and are thus spirit-begotten disciples of Jesus.

Another requirement is that they conform to God’s moral standards and manifest such qualities as honesty, integrity, and compassion.

They must also remain loyal to God and Christ till the end of their earthly course. Only by meeting those requirements can they show themselves worthy of being resurrected and qualified for the weighty responsibility awaiting them in heaven.

the evildoer alongside Jesus lived as a criminal and died as a criminal. Luke 23:32, 39-41 True, he showed a respectful attitude when he said to Jesus: “Remember me when you get into your kingdom.” Luke 23:42

Nonetheless, he had not become a baptized, spirit-begotten disciple of Jesus, nor had he built a record of upright conduct and faithful endurance.

Does it seem reasonable that Jesus would promise him heavenly kingship alongside his faithful followers who had proved their integrity?

The man was repentant. That is what the water baptisms of John and Christ's ministry were all about... repentance. God had mercy on him and forgave Him. He can do whatever He wants with His creation.

Because God gets to decide that, not christians.  It's something that all these YA christers seem to forget.

Two men, both criminals, were also led out with Jesus to be executed.

When they came to the place called the Skull, they crucified him there, along with the criminals—one on his right, the other on his left.

(Dear reader, It is no coincidence that the crucifixion happened at a place called "The Skull", for the battle for your soul is raging in your mind.)

Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”

And the soldiers divided up his clothes by casting lots.

    The people stood watching,

and the rulers even sneered at him.

They said, “He saved others; let him save himself if he is God’s Messiah, the Chosen One.”

The soldiers also came up and mocked him. They offered him wine vinegar and said, “If you are the king of the Jews, save yourself.”

There was a written notice above him, which read: THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: “Aren’t you the Messiah? Save yourself and us!”

But the other criminal rebuked him. “Don’t you fear God,” he said, “since you are under the same sentence? We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.”

Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”

Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

The two criminals represent the two kinds of sinners on the planet. The first is the kind that shake their fist at God, demanding He saves them. Then there are those who take full responsibility, understand there are consequences, and humbly ask to be remembered.

It is amazing to me that the difference between salvation and a Christ-less eternity, is a bad attitude. Change your mind, dear reader. Humble yourself. This very night you may close your eyes in death: this could be your last chance to get right with your Maker.
