How do you know what your favourite colour is?
Do we choose our favourites? Where do they come from?
People didn't even try to answer this question. I wasn't asking what your favourite colour was. But whatever...

It depends on what I'm looking at, I like blue sky, green fields, Gun metal grey cars, wood stocks on my guns(target guns, I shoot nothing that is alive, just paper targets)
Brown coffee, etc. etc. I think our favourite colours are really not one colour, but the best colour we expect the thing we are looking at to be

My family has worked on removing bindweed from fields and pasture for three generations. I have an estimate my Grandfather, Father, and myself have worked on it in excess of 70 years.
After an effort spanning more than 15 years I have finally have removed it by an excessive expenditure on mechanical spray equipment.
I now refer to my favorite color as, "Bindweed herbicide kill brown"!

Our favourite colour is the colour that liberates us from the gloomy melancholy and hubbub we are subjected to on a daily basis by the misguided and lost people in the world.
When the world is trash, you do not need to follow it. In fact I say you should rebel against it with all your might. If that means choosing colour that makes you happy then do it.
In my view happiness is liberty from the dark world (of the soul). And it comes by choosing the colours that liberate.
Choose not to choose darkness (of the soul; not of the colours). Be that which is liberty and brightness (of the soul).
Let go of the things which keep you in the darkness (of the soul). Let go of it all. And enter the gate which needs only your choosing.
It is a fundamental kind of rational choice. In a vacuum we are presented with a choice, liberty or slavery. It is not about having extrinsic motivation in the form of mental constructions of ours or others. It is about following the broadening horizons which we feel deep down.
Sometimes the most rational choice is a choice of colour which is based on a deep down feeling. We are choosing liberty and happiness over slavery and gloom.

You buy based on that color. When given the choice, you choose your favorite. Your house reflects it - walls painted your favorite color, furniture upholstery, etc. Not everything but "predominantly" your favorite color.

One makes a list of one's favorite objects (regardless of color); then, one is able to predict, by correlation, what one's favorite color(s) is (are). The third degree is then purchasing or preferring objects, etc., based on one's "favorite color(s)." (This assumes one's favorite object(s) are mostly a particular color.)
This favorite objects ---> favorite colors ---> favored purchases is also known to be culturally modulated. E.g., Irish may, based on love of brown potatoes, prefer the color brown, and then be more inclined to purchase brown shoes, than a population (culture) which does not favor brown potatoes, but red apples.
There's also a possible spiritual dimension to affiliation of color(s): the soul or soul-field reflects some qualities of the God-Man Image, such as: pink, loving; golden yellow, intellect; blue, faith; green, healing, science, and music; violet, freedom.
