The video converter seems to be good and has lots of positive reviews. But it is not free, so I want others people opinion not to waste time and money.

And yet you don't feel the need to tell us what your needs are. I use WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe v5.15.5 which was a giveaway version in 2019. It works well for MY needs.

use handbrake. its free and very good.
