Did you support the Executive Order on Bump Stocks?

If you did, are you now enjoying the rhetoric calling for the President to use an Executive Order to ban all semi-auto Assault Weapons? And by 'assault weapons' that would be an Executive Order against any scary looking guns, any semi-auto, or ones that can hold more than 10rds of ammo - which is the current Mass Media definition of 'assault weapon'.

Did you not know the Vegas shooter owned bump stocks but never fired one that night? Did you know bump stocks have never once been involved in a crime? Did you know that by letting the Bump Stock ban go unchecked we gave the gun grabbers a nice, shinny, new tool to use that circumvents the Constitution? Oh sure, it will go to court - bump stocks are still in court fyi - but that did not prevent us from having to destroy them.

Me. I think if Trump is not pressured into doing this - the next President with a 'D' on the end of their name probably will.

If you own an AR/AK variant I would like to hear your opinion on this.

No, I did not. It accomplished nothing and let the gun grabers shove their foot a little farther into the door. We should not give an inch.

No citizen gets choice in the matter. Frankly, I am neutral on bump stocks, I won't miss them.

When they were engineered, the fuction was to improve control and shot groups with rapid fire and full auto weapons. Someone discovered that the effective recoil one could fire a semi auto like full.

That is the only thing the anti gun, anti 2A sort even consider.

Funny, with practice, you don't need a bump stock to do the very same thing.

My take on rights is any laws banning gun attachments or accessories undermines the second amendment which is infringement,,,period.

A bump stock on my M-60 would be nice, handy on an AK,,not really an improvement on AR or such as M-4A1.

Guess you know that XO was Obamas puppy, and effected in the senate, so Trump is about powerless to overturn it as bad as he would like to. He already indicated he would not sign a ban on any semiauto weapons.

States still have the power to do that, but I know of 11 that never will.

No, I did not support the specific issue. Not because I`m for bump stocks but more for some uncanny compassion for the manufacturer. Time and money went into making the injection molds to produce them and much money spent before that for engineering.

The assortment of feelings for a particular object may be justified for many that have no interest but for those that were affected financially may feel victimized by the act of pacifying a particular group.

  • Yes. Here's the weird bit for you Yanks...you always ramble about how "moar gunz" keeps you safe, and yet- no other country has mass shootings like you do.

No, I think it is a violation of our 2th amendment.

This question is posted in hunting, but bump stocks have no purpose for hunters.

Since the firearms they are typically used on are not designed for fully automatic firing, they can overheat and warp the barrel causing an expensive firearm to become worthless.

Gun control laws will have little effect on those that do not follow the law.

Additionally, I am concerned about the details in any proposed law, because lawmakers frequently create laws with unintended consequences that interfere with our rights.

    There is no easy answer.

No you don't even need a bump stock to bump fire a gun. I've even seen people do it with pistols.

You can do it with no attachments
