What is it about your favourite colour that makes it your favourite?

For example:
My favourite colour is blue, because it reminds me of the sky and the ocean and I find it peaceful.  I spent a lot of time at the beach as a kid.

I really don’t know why navy blue is my favorite color. Maybe cause I wear that color a lot or because a lot of sports teams have that color. I don’t know.
