I didn't see his latest speech, but he is able to sound rational only when he woodenly read words on the teleprompter that others have written. Sometimes it's clear by the way he stumbles through them that it is the first time he has ever seen the speeches himself as he is parroting them. Let him go off-script, and then you see the real Trump.

If Trump really wants to "bring Americans together", he could hold some public speeches across the nation that aren't just red meat rallies for his MAGA hat wearers. Maybe appear in one of the Blue states for a change, instead of the never-ending campaign in Red states.

Apologists are people who say that there was nothing wrong with the things we did 200 years ago. I agree we should not be apologists, nobody should be defending slavery by saying it happened a long time ago or "nobody's perfect." No country should ignore the sins of it's past. That would be ignorant.

For the first time in my life Trump makes me ashamed to be American. His words are meaningless. He swore to uphold and defend the Constitution, and craps on it every day.
