What do you think?

So this guy I've known for a while, we talk every so often to hang out with other friends. I hadn't thought about dating him because I had had a boyfriend for 3 years but we've since broken up. Before this guy found out I had broken up with my boyfriend he invited us both to the movies with some other friends, so I told him it would just be me. After we all saw the movie, on the way walking out my one girlfriend was telling me how he had asked where I was going to sit and said that he wanted to sit next to me (when I had gotten there the only seat open ended up being next to him). That got me excited because as of now I am interested in him. I was hoping he'd text me the day after, but he didn't. It's been 2 days since the movies, should I wait a couple more days to see if he texts me first or should I just go for it?
