Serious Bible students like Jehovah's Witnesses, How would you explain Hebrews 5:7-10?

After returning to heaven, Jesus received a new assignment, being King of God's Kingdom.

Perfect is a relative term, a 5/8" nut fits perfectly on a 5/8" bolt; but this same 'perfect' nut doesn't fit a 1/2 or a 9/16 bolt.

For all of his assignments prior to coming to the earth and dying, Jesus was perfect for those assignments.

His new assignment needed some 'improvements' Mainly being obedient even to the death.

Once he learned this, he was now ready to accomplish his new assignment. Thus he became 'perfect'.

(Hebrews 5:7-10) 7 During his life on earth, Christ offered up supplications and also petitions, with strong outcries and tears, to the One who was able to save him out of death, and he was favorably heard for his godly fear. 8 Although he was a son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered. 9 And after he had been made perfect, he became responsible for everlasting salvation to all those obeying him, 10 because he has been designated by God a high priest in the manner of Mel·chizʹe·dek.

I've never had a trinitarian who could explain this to me.

According to the trinity

God (aka Jesus) had to learn obedience from Satan.

Why would God have to learn anything, especially obedience.

Who has God to be obedient to?

God after learning obedience then appointed himself 'High Priest' to act as a go between himself and himself and mankind.

The truth is that Jesus always remain faithful to God, even while being tested and persecuted by Satan.

(John 15:8-10) 8 My Father is glorified in this, that you keep bearing much fruit and prove yourselves my disciples. 9 Just as the Father has loved me, so I have loved you; remain in my love. 10 If you observe my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have observed the commandments of the Father and remain in his love.

This proves that Adam could have remained faithful in the Garden.

As a reward for Jesus' faithfulness, his God and Father elevated him to the position of High Priest; where he serves as a intermediary between God and his disciples.

To gain salvation we must use the avenue chosen by God to worship Him in the way He approves.

Hmmm I guess the point you're trying to make is that Jesus isn't God as it's a typical dumb Arian use of this scripture.

The American Standard vs 7) Who in the days of his flesh, having offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and having been heard for his godly fear,

Jesus had godly fear and offered up prayers and supplications, Heb 1:9 says this about Jesus) 9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; Therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee With the oil of gladness above thy fellows.(ASV) This actually says Jesus has a God! The word used here for fellows(metochos) means “an associate” Verses 1-2 shows that it is Jesus that is being described here. Verses 1-14 show that Jesus sits down at God’s right hand and he’s over all of the angels!(vs3-4) Matt 28:18 shows that all authority is given to Jesus and 1 Corinthians 15:24-28 shows Jesus gives back this authority and subjects himself to his Father!

The Scriptures show that Jesus Christ when on earth was actually perfect in human organism (1Pe 1:18, 19) and that he maintained his perfection by continuing to retain and strengthen his integrity under test. This was in accord with God’s purpose to make the Chief Agent of salvation “perfect through sufferings.” (Heb 2:10) That is, Jesus was perfected as to obedience and integrity keeping and was perfected for his position as God’s High Priest of salvation, as Paul shows at Hebrews 5:7-10. Finishing his earthly course free from flaw in any sense of the word, Jesus was acknowledged by God as justified. He was thus the only man who, through test, stood firmly and positively just, or righteous before God on his own merit. By this “one act of justification [form of di•kaiʹo•ma],” that is, by Jesus’ proving himself perfectly righteous through his entire flawless course, including his sacrifice, he provided the basis for declaring righteous those persons having faith in Christ.—Ro 5:17-19; 3:25, 26; 4:25.
