MacBook freezes when watching films, clips or the likes on GOOGLE . and trying to write a comment. answer questions.does not freeze HERE?
for instance. or when writing on - normal - mail. tried most of the - help- offered. nothing seems to work.
tried to delete Google Chrome and install another browser. would not let me do it.... Mac is a late 2008. worked with no problems all the years. started to act up a week ago or so. no crunching sounds ( hard drive?). sometimes shuts down by itself and re starts. asks me if i want to send a report to Apple. not that they would answer. Mac is all original, no fakes,no counterfeits.

it seems there was a conflict between the Safari and Google Chrome browsers. changed to make Safari primary browser .But still keep Google for certain things. all that computer and IT google di rock was for the birds. Therefore NO best answer. and case closed.

Well you give a basic problem description but now other info - like what is the hardware spec? What is the OS level? Is it all patched? Are you using any antivirus applications? and so on.
2008 is quite old - I would say time to upgrade. However this is expensive (if you are in full time education you get apple educational pricing so a little cheaper). Another option is booking it into Apple for a tune up by apple - again maybe a little expensive the final option is a local Apple Mac repair store and they will most like charge you less.
The local shop should quote you for maxing out the RAM and fitting an SSD and you'll have a reasonably capable machine. If you can't afford to upgrade to a newer machine, then its going to make using your current one a hell of a lot more bearable in the meantime. SSD will make the biggest difference, I suspect, though on older machines you're likely to be running at slower SATA speeds, so you can get by with slower (ie: cheaper) SSDs too.
It takes skill to do the upgrade and get the MAC OSX up to the highest version that allows you to drop google and run the highest version of safari. Google browser is OK but is a more easy way for the apple to be attacked in my opinion.
Smaller local specialist MAC Computer shops can do this stuff in their sleep if have a good rep. Failing that if you are still at school or college then speak to someone in the local computer club or if at work as a friendly IT department guy who he or she would recommend.
