They see an egg and they go "I want to be born" so they waltz into the egg, wait a bit, then leave. This is how they're born. I'm not that stupid. But how do these eggs come about? How do they find out about the eggs? Who makes them? And how many are made per person?

Girls are born with all the eggs they will ever have in their ovaries. Every month once they reach puberty, ONE egg is released (occasionally more by mistake).
